Assignment: We need banners to head up a blog on Creativity Magazine. These were the titles (fuck if I know what they allude to). The content: "future digital...you know".

Results: I like the vague assignment! Much more fun to respond to, especially when you have the freedom to not care what it's about. I'm happy, and need to do more little ditties like this.

The "If I didn't give a shit" exercise

What would be your desired attire if you had no preconceived notions to follow? I seem to veer toward athletic gear...north face wicking long sleeve top, athleta jog pants, columbia fleece vest...oh, and all black. But the lame part is that half the time I'm using it for it's athletic qualities and half the time it's collecting cat hair on a real couch-potato day (like today). But hey, what's your deal? Nude with a hat? Fur coat with heels? What's your private attire?

Haunted

I am haunted by this film. It's been a week now, and it's beauty has not faded for me yet. I know I'm late to the party here, but seriously this was one hell of a movie. Jaded me missed out what had to be THE Oscar win story by yards. Ulrich Mühe and Martina Gedeck, stunned me with their vulnerablity. Their performances re-connected me with acting as ART, I was moved and felt deeply connected to their experience within the GDR. Dull grays browns and greens contrasted with the rich emotional tapestry of survival. Tragic, beautiful.

On the left:

Mori Ex Cacao 'Death by Chocolate' by D.L. & Co.

The cavities of these bittersweet skulls are filled with one of three flavors: scorched caramel, bitter brandied cherry and curious chili. They are also painted with a finishing coat of glossy cocoa butter. Created by Douglas Little & Co. as part of a larger "Memento Mori" series.

On the right:

Molded Flaming Chocolate Hearts by Vosges

The flaming hearts series is comprised of three variations: barcelona, red fire, and amalfi. Each weigh in at a hefty 1.8 oz.
Barcelona Milk Chocolate, Hickory Smoked Almonds and Gray Sea Salt
Red Fire Dark Chocolate, Mexican Ancho Chile Peppers and Cinnamon
Amalfi Venezuelan White Chocolate, Lemon Zest and Pink Peppercorns

All can be yours at Unica home.

Champagne could be my downfall as well

I've got 7 days to go on the grand test of willpower, no drinks for 3 weeks. In my brief dry spell, two drinks arise like oases: margaritas and champagne. The salty tang of a margarita, the dry bubbles of champagne...nothing in sober world compares to either.

It's been an interesting exercise. I've discovered that my job is a horrid environment for clean living, the stress drives us agency hounds to the brink of self-destruction and beyond. Boundary making is of dire importance for survival. Yay for building fences!
